KUALA LUMPUR: Peps-JV (M) Sdn Bhd, a unit of EP Manufacturing Bhd
, is setting up a joint-venture company (JVC) with Y-tec Corp to supply automotive parts to Mazda Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, the automotive component manufacturer and distributor said Peps-JV would hold 60% stake in the JVC and the Japan-based Y-tec 40%.
Y-tec is also one of the Tier-1 suppliers of Mazda Motor Corp’s model parts in Japan.
Peps-JV and Y-tec will pay their equity participation of the initial paid-up capital in the JVC of RM60,000 and RM40,000 respectively.
It said the proposed JVC represented an investment opportunity to expand EP Manufacturing’s existing customer base to include Mazda Malaysia. - Bernama
