Disk drive maker still sees prospects in market

Wong:

KUALA LUMPUR: Two years after a Johor-based local hard disk drive (HDD) maker was listed in 2010, the stock fell out of investors’ favour due to the evolving technology storage space industry and cheaper solid state drives in the market.

The producer of HDD parts – comprising top cover and base plate, actuator pivot flex assembly (APFA) and anti-disc – suffered further margin contractions due to lower hard disc drives shipments in 2012.
