BTMU plans to issue RM1.6bil multi-currency sukuk


KUALA LUMPUR: Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (M) Bhd (BTMU Malaysia) is setting up the issuance of a US$500mil (RM1.61bil) multi-currency sukuk programme under the syariah principle of Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar.

The bank announced yesterday the appointment of CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International Plc (MUSI) as the joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the proposed programme.
