Perodua, Daihatsu to invest RM600m in engine plant


Perodua and Daihatsu will jointly invest RM600mil to set up a new engine manufacturing plant in Sendayan, Negri Sembilan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua (Perodua) and Daihatsu Motor Company of Japan will invest RM600mil to set up a new engine manufacturing plant in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan.

In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, they said work on plant was expected to begin in September this year. When completed it would have a production capacity of 140,000 units a year.
