SAPURA Group’s venture into the oil and gas sector, some in the industry say, is Datuk Shahril Shamsuddin's baptism of fire. It marks the first venture that Shahril has propelled the Sapura Group into ( via the acquisition of Crest Petroleum Bhd), without quite the assistance of his father, Tan Sri Shamsuddin Kadir, who is founder and chairman of the group.
