GOLDEN Hope Plantations Bhd (GHope) and Island & Peninsular Bhd (I&P) are believed to be planning a rationalisation exercise to merge their plantation and property development businesses.
The rationalisation would result in GHope becoming the investment holding company of the merged entity and holding the plantation businesses, said a source close to the deal.
