Bina Puri buys Sarawak water company


PETALING JAYA: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd is taking full control of a Sarawak-based water treatment engineering firm in a cash deal of RM100,000 upfront, plus potential payments tied to the acquiree’s future profit.

The acquisition of Enforture (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, which is expected to be completed by the end of this month, would strengthen Bina Puri’s technical capability in water treatment, water supply and water infrastructure-related works, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Enforture Sarawak’s ongoing and identified future projects are estimated to have an aggregate project value of RM192.82mil, with a projected pre-tax profit of RM52.86mil and a profit after tax of RM40.17mil over the next two years.
