Papa Bear’s sets its sights on bringing freshly wrapped dumplings to customers and more outlets in the country

Papa Bear’s has celebrated the grand launch of its first outlet at Lot 1.69.00, Level 1, Pavilion Bukit Jalil—the home of the world’s first Papa Bear’s. Born in Malaysia, the brand now plans to open more branches across the country and bring its freshly wrapped dumplings to more Malaysian tables.

Papa Bear’s was founded on a simple belief: good food brings people closer. In Malaysia’s multicultural society, meals are more than just food—they’re a chance for families and friends to gather and make lasting memories.

The dumpling recipes were developed for Papa Bear’s by a chef from a MICHELIN Guide restaurant in Beijing, then fine-tuned for Malaysian tastes. Fillings include chicken, prawn, Spanish mackerel and Wagyu beef. Each dumpling is wrapped by hand every day in a thin, supple wrapper, and can be enjoyed boiled, pan-fried, deep-fried or in soup.

The brand’s promise is straightforward: menu prices are the prices customers pay, with no service charge. If a guest doesn’t enjoy a dish, Papa Bear’s will swap it or offer a refund—no reason needed.

To mark the launch, diners can add RM1 to any purchase to receive six Chicken & Chive Dumplings. The offer runs from 4 to 9 November, starting at 1:00 PM on 4 November. It is available for dine-in only, limited to the first 100 guests, and capped at one portion per person, while stocks last. The offer cannot be combined with other promotions.

With its first outlet now open, Papa Bear’s is looking ahead to expanding in Malaysia and sharing its dumplings with more communities and with its brand philosophy: “Crafting deliciousness with dedication, bringing great taste into everyday life.”
