Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) and Alpro Pharmacy have launched Mirai Living, a collaboration to raise health awareness and encourage Malaysians to make healthier everyday choices.
The partnership brings together Sharp’s technology capabilities and Alpro Pharmacy’s healthcare expertise and community reach. Its planned initiatives may include public education, digital content, community engagement and workplace wellness programmes.
“Mirai” means “future” in Japanese. The initiative reflects the partners’ view that a healthier future starts with choices made today, including at home, school, work and in the community.
The collaboration comes amid concerns over diabetes in Malaysia. The National Health and Morbidity Survey 2025 found that 39.1% of Malaysians aged 60 and above are living with diabetes. The 2023 survey reported that about 15.6% of Malaysian adults—roughly one in six—had the condition.
Sharp’s healthy-living technologies, including air-care and food-preparation solutions, may be featured as examples of how technology can support healthier environments and routines.

Consumer initiatives may also combine selected Sharp products with Alpro’s health and wellness offerings, supported by guidance from its healthcare professionals.
The partners also plan to explore workplace programmes, which could include health-awareness sessions, office pantry solutions and corporate gifting.
Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) managing director Ting Yang Chung said the collaboration would bring together the company’s technology capabilities and Alpro’s healthcare expertise to help Malaysians make informed choices and build healthier habits.
Alpro Pharmacy chief pharmacist and engagement director Ph Lim En Ni said its pharmacists, nutritionists and dietitians regularly hear the health questions and challenges faced by the community. She said awareness, education and access to reliable information were important to building healthier communities.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at Alpro Pharmacy’s headquarters on Nov 4, 2026. Both organisations said Mirai Living would be developed as a long-term initiative.
