HANOI: Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports were estimated at US$56.3 billion in the first nine months of this year, up 7.8 per cent year on year, the government portal reported Monday (Sept 28).
The sector's trade surplus reached about US$16.9 billion, the report said, citing Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung.
Of the total, agricultural products amounted to US$29.28 billion, followed by forestry products at US$14.41 billion and fishery products at US$9.17 billion, local media Dan Viet reported.
To meet the 2026 export target of over US$74.2 billion, the agricultural sector needs to earn an additional US$17.91 billion from exports in the final three months of the year, averaging US$5.97 billion per month, the report added. - Xinhua
