Planworth Global Factoring targets RM1bil in SME Financing for 2026 following a new digital launch

Non-bank financial institution Planworth Global Factoring has officially launched its new digital supply chain financing platform alongside its new RM20 million corporate office at Menara Avenue.

The dual milestone aims to accelerate cash flow liquidity and funding accessibility for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Malaysia.

The launch was officiated by Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin during the MSME Financing & Growth Engagement Session.

Speaking at the event, Mohamad lauded private sector participation in complementing existing government agencies such as SME Bank, SME Corp Malaysia, TEKUN Nasional, TERAJU, and MARA.

He stressed the critical need to reduce red tape and layered documentation to guarantee fast fund approvals for business cash flow.

"We want to do away with unnecessary bureaucracy. Long-winded documentation and prolonged approval periods must be avoided. Basic documents such as SSM registration, bank statements, and business profiles should suffice," Mohamad noted.

Planworth’s newly unveiled digital platform acts as an integrated ecosystem connecting buyers (ranging from government bodies and government-linked companies to private corporations), MSME vendors, and financiers.

It streamlines document verification, credit assessment, approval, and systemic fund disbursement all under one roof.

Planworth Chief Executive Officer Datuk Andy Kuek stated that the company positions itself as a strategic partner to traditional banking institutions and government funding bodies, catering specifically to businesses requiring expanded working capital or immediate project execution funds.

"Malaysia has a business-friendly policy that consistently supports MSMEs through annual budgets.  Planworth does not compete with government agencies; instead, we complement the needs of entrepreneurs at every phase of their business growth," Kuek said.

To date, Planworth maintains roughly 1,400 active borrowers—75% of whom are Bumiputera entrepreneurs spanning facility management, security control, cleaning, and food services. The company targets onboarding an additional 200 MSMEs annually.

Having channeled a cumulative RM4 billion in financing and supported contract values nearing RM6 billion historically, Planworth has earmarked RM1 billion in financing for 2026 to bolster local working capital and supply chain frameworks.

In tandem with the platform rollout, Planworth signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Bumiputera Travel and Tour Agents Association Malaysia (BUMITRA), the Malaysian Employment Agencies Association (PAPA), and CDC International Sdn Bhd to extend alternative financing coverage deeper into key industry sectors.

The newly minted 18,000-square-foot corporate office, backed by a RM20 million investment covering acquisition and renovation costs, is designed to deliver a highly conducive environment for clients and strategic partners alike.
