Thunderstorms to bring heavy rain, strong winds to Metro Manila, Luzon


MANILA: Moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over parts of Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon on Monday (Sept 21), according to the state weather bureau.

The thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), issued at 5.49am, advised the public “to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.”

Meanwhile, heavy to intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are affecting Hagonoy in Bulacan, Manila, Pasay, and Paranaque in Metro Manila, and Jala-Jala and Pililla in Rizal and may persist. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
