TOKYO: Typhoon Krovanh, also known as Typhoon No. 24, has formed in the Pacific Ocean southeast of Okinawa Prefecture’s main island, moving slowly northwest towards the island as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Its central atmospheric pressure was 996 hectopascals, with a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 25 metres per second (95 kph).
