After four successful concerts featuring legendary artistes, Karyawan is pleased to announce the first Legends Concert to be held in Sarawak, this time in Miri on Saturday, July 4, at the Pullman Miri Waterfront.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Hamzah, at a press conference held at the Ministry.
Among the artistes performing at this auspicious event are Datuk Zainal Abidin (of Hijau fame), Datuk Jamal Abdillah, Datuk Khatijah Ibrahim and Datuk Ramli Sarip who will be joined by another legend Norshila Amin and three singers from Sarawak, namely Safar Ghaffar who is a well known legend in his own right, Melissa Francis, a very popular name in the community as well as Timur Flores, and up and coming talent who is making waves in the entertainment scene.
Guests will also be treated to a taste of Sarawakian culture as two leading sape players, Anderson Kalang and Hezekiah Asim, will be on hand to showcase their skills at the concert.
Besides these featured artistes, starting from 6.30 pm, the dinner will be showcasing performances from various other legendary artistes from Sarawak, among them Noraini Khan, Wan Khalik, Dahlia Sulai, Andrew Shukri, Roffina Ahmad, and Nusantara Jazz, to name a few.
