Lookout order issued for wanted senator

An immigration lookout bulletin order has been issued against Senator Ronald Dela Rosa by the Department of Justice, said acting justice secretary Fredderick Vida.

During a press briefing, Vida said he had already given specific orders to border control authorities. If Dela Rosa tries to leave the country, the appropriate arrest should be made.

Dela Rosa has been reportedly linked to the anti-drug crackdown launched under former president Rodrigo Duterte, who is in detention at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The ICC unsealed an arrest warrant for Dela Rosa on May 11, which had originally been issued in secret in November 2025.

Amid tensions surrounding reports of an attempted arrest of Dela Rosa, gunshots rang out from the Senate complex on Wednesday, triggering chaos and confusion inside the building.
