Six die in fire in foot massage parlour in central China


Beijing (dpa): Six people died in a fire in a foot massage parlour in Henan Province in central China early on Saturday morning, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing the local fire and rescue department.

Five people were rescued from the blaze unharmed, Xinhua reported.

Strong traces of smoke and scorching were found at the scene.

Attempts to reanimate the six people who died failed, and they were declared dead in the hospital.

The cause of the blaze remains unclear. The police have announced that the cause of the accident is under investigation.  -- dpa
