Diesel prices to drop by nearly P25/litre in the Philippines

MANILA: Starting Tuesday (April 21), motorists in the Philippines will see another jumbo, double-digit rollback for diesel of nearly P25 a litre.

In an advisory Monday (April 20), Shell Pilipinas said its diesel prices would decrease by P24.94 a litre.

Once imposed on Tuesday, the prices in Metro Manila would drop sharply to as much as P112 per liter for regular diesel and P147 per litre for premium diesel.

This would come from the high of P170 per litre.

For gasoline and kerosene, Shell said they would be cut by P3.41 and P2 per litre, respectively.

Other industry players have yet to announce their official price adjustments. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
