Brunei maritime authority marks milestones with digital transformation

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) has achieved two major milestones with the launch of its Digital Transformation 2.0 initiative and the attainment of Quality Management System certification, local media reported on Monday (April 6).

According to the Borneo Bulletin, Former MPABD Chief Executive Captain Zil Husam Haji Abdul Rahman said the authority has, over the past year, established a strong foundation for a more connected and efficient organisation.

He noted that the Digital Transformation 2.0 initiative builds on the Brunei Maritime Single Window, which was launched in March 2025, and marks a significant expansion of MPABD's digital services.

He added that the efforts are aligned with Brunei Vision 2035, the country's long-term development blueprint aimed at achieving a dynamic and competitive economy.

Zil Husam said MPABD remains committed to enhancing its institutional capabilities and delivering high standards of service to the maritime community through continued innovation and digital advancement. - Xinhua
