China evacuates hundreds of citizens from Iran as war worsens

Beijing says more than 470 Chinese nationals have been safely evacuated from Iran as the conflict with the US and Israel escalates.

The Chinese embassy is helping citizens leave via designated land routes and border crossings.

Meanwhile, Chinese officials are urging all remaining citizens in Iran to step up safety precautions, register with the embassy and leave the country “as soon as possible”. -- SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST
