Myanmar exports over 370,000 tonnes of fishery products in 10 months


YANGON: Myanmar exported over 370,000 tonnes of fishery products from April to January of the 2025-26 fiscal year, generating over US$559 million in export earnings, according to the Department of Fisheries on Tuesday (Feb 24).

The export volume declined by about 70,000 tonnes compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year, Thin Thin Hlaing, staff officer of the Research and Development Division under the department, told Xinhua.

The department is targeting over $700 million in export earnings from fishery products by the end of the current fiscal year, she added. - Xinhua
