Myanmar sets 180-day validity for import licences, limits firms to one application per month per product from Jan 1, 2026

YANGON: The Ministry of Commerce has announced that the validity of import license and permit applications will be set at 180 days from January 1, 2026, and that only one licence application per company for imports for domestic trading purposes will be required within a calendar month if the type of product is the same.

In a notification on December 31, 2025, it announced that import licence permit applications that are more than 180 days old will be cancelled (auto concealed) from the Myanmar Tradenet 2.0 system.
