Vietnam to issue electronic identification codes for real estate units

HANOI (Xinhua): Vietnam will issue electronic identification codes for real estate units starting March 1 to ensure transparency, consistency, and effectiveness in state management, according to local daily VnEconomy on Monday.

The codes will be applied to apartments, individual houses and floor areas within construction projects.

Each code is an alphanumeric string with a maximum length of 40 characters, said the report.

The identification codes will be automatically generated through the database for housing and the real estate market. -- Xinhua
