Rising urban jazz group Langkasuka is all set to go a step further in their music careers. Langkasuka will be releasing their latest single titled Baju yang Baru on Friday (Oct 17) on all digital platforms.
This song was composed and written by Zuhaili, with the recording process carried out at a home studio. Fai completed the mixing work, while Aliy handled the mastering process. Overall, the production of this song took about five months to complete.
Langkasuka is a Malaysian music group that performs a genre-blending mix of Urban Jazz, pop, ballad, retro, and disco. They are known for songs like "Sang Biru" and have performed at various venues and events, including Zepp KL and the RIUH festival.
According to Langkasuka, Baju yang Baru carries a message about love, patience, and self-renewal in everyday life.
"This work also reflects an emotional journey and personal reflection that may be close to the listener's heart.
"Baju yang Baru may be a story about us, about love in silence, about hearts that are confused in the middle of the journey. Listen to this song... maybe between the verses, you will find a little bit of yourself, or at least, be more careful about other hearts," said Langkasuka.
The group added that this song is also symbolic of appreciation for the value of family and love between people. They described this song as a small hug for everyone who is struggling in their relationships and life.
“This song is a small hug for every forgetful husband, every patient wife, and every child who is learning to understand their parents' love. Sometimes, what needs to be renewed is not their clothes, but their hearts,” they said, adding, the song is expected to be another meaningful work from Langkasuka who continues to champion the beauty of emotions and human values in their music..
For the matter, the launch of this single also received cooperation from Empayar Masdo Sdn. Bhd., a company that is active in local talent development and digital music marketing strategy management. With this support, Langkasuka hopes that Baju yang Baru can reach more listeners and further strengthen their identity in the local music world.
Note: Baju yang Baru will be officially launched on Friday (Oct 17) on all digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music.
