Thailand records over 700,000 influenza cases, 61 deaths this year

BANGKOK: (Bernama) Influenza cases in Thailand have surged to more than 700,000 since the beginning of this year, with 61 deaths reported, according to the Office of Disease Prevention and Control (ODPC).

In a statement on Thursday (Oct 9), the ODPC said people nationwide should be cautious during the transition from the rainy season to the cooler months, as influenza spreads more easily due to changing weather conditions.
