Alan Tam, the king of romantic melodies and the Cantopop legend cum icon, is returning to Malaysia

Cantopop evergreen legend Alan Tam is making his highly anticipated return to Malaysia with a spectacular solo concert at the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil.

Nearly nine years since his last solo performance in the country, Alan will once again captivate fans with an extraordinary night of timeless classics and heartfelt nostalgia.

Organised by Star Planet, this musical celebration will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at 8pm, uniting generations of music lovers to relive some of the most cherished moments in Cantopop history.

With a career spanning more than 45 years, Alan Tam has released over 130 albums and delivered countless all-time classics that shaped the landscape of Cantopop.

From romantic ballads like “Love in Autumn,” “Love Trap,” “Flower in the Water,” “Friend,” “Illusion” to unforgettable anthems such as “Love of a Lifetime” and “Can’t say Goodbye,” Alan Tam’s signature style has become the soundtrack of multiple generations. His timeless classic "Lorelei" from 1985 was among the most-heard songs in that decade, especially in Asian countries.

Since his concert tour kicked off in 2023, the tour has taken Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Australia, and cities across Mainland China by storm.

Each stop has been met with overwhelming support, sold-out arenas, and moving moments of mass sing-alongs, as familiar melodies stirred deep emotions and evoked treasured memories of youth.

Now, this phenomenal tour finally arrives in Kuala Lumpur – a city with a long and special bond with Alan Tam. With a carefully curated setlist packed with hits, fans can look forward to reliving cherished moments and rekindling the emotions that only his music can evoke.

Throughout his illustrious career, Alan Tam has always upheld the philosophy of “growing together with fans.” His sincerity, humility, and unwavering passion for music have made him more than just an idol – he is a lasting cultural symbol and a musical companion through life’s journeys.

This will not be just another concert, but a moving chapter of music history brought to life. When the first notes resound, the voices and memories that shaped entire generations will once again echo in our hearts – a performance that promises to be one of Malaysia’s most anticipated shows of 2025.

It has also been reported that 20 of his albums have been certified platinum by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) Hong Kong.

He was also a member of The Wynners, and Tam has also released hits like "Sha-La-La-La-La, L-O-V-E Love and I'll Never Dance Again", among many others.

The Hong Kong pop band, which also consisted of members Kenny Bee, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip, and Anthony Chan, disbanded after concluding its 50th anniversary concert tour in late 2023.
