Thai king approves PM Anutin's cabinet line-up, Royal Gazette shows

BANGKO (Reuters): Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn has endorsed Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's new cabinet, according to a notice in the Royal Gazette.

The endorsement formally enables the cabinet to take an oath before the king ahead of a policy statement to parliament, the final step before ministers can assume their duties.

Thailand's new cabinet could deliver its policy statement to parliament as soon as Sept 29, Paradorn Prissananantakul, a senior official with the ruling Bhumjaithai party, said on Friday.

Delivering the statement to parliament paves the way for the administration to fully take up its duties and formally commence governing. - Reuters
