HAMILTON Township, Ohio: England’s Charley Hull claimed her third LPGA title at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, edging World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand by one shot at TPC River’s Bend in Ohio on Sunday.

Hull had taken a one-shot lead over Thitikul into the final round, and the in-form duo soon turned it into a two-horse race. The Thai player was ahead by one as they reached the par-five 18th hole, and looked set to claim her sixth LPGA title when both players reached the green in two.

What happened next shocked the gallery as Thitikul raced her long eagle putt five feet past the hole, missed the come-backer for birdie, and then pushed a four-footer for par to the right.

Hull, meanwhile, two-putted from around 30 feet for birdie to seal the win, her first on the LPGA Tour since the 2022 Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America.

Hull’s closing 68 gave her a 72-hole total of 20-under-par 268 (68-65-67-68), one shot clear of Thitikul (69-64-68-68) who was aiming to become the first repeat winner on the 2025 LPGA Tour.

Another Englishwoman, rookie Lottie Woad, finished outright third on 18-under-par 270 (68-67-69-66), while 2025 AIG Women's Open champion Miyu Yamashita of Japan was fourth on 17-under-par 271 (69-67-66-69).

It was a welcome triumph for Hull, who has had a roller-coaster season with a near-miss at the AIG Women’s Open in August blighted by a string of mishaps.

A viral infection forced her withdrawal from the Evian Championship, and she tore an ankle ligament just five weeks ago after tripping on a

carpark curb.

Hull had finished joint second in her last two starts at the AIG Women’s Open and the Aramco Houston Championship on the Ladies European Tour.

“It feels good. Coming from British Open and then last week finished second on the Ladies European Tour, and then to get the win, it feels pretty good,” said Hull.

“I've just been absolutely grinding hard at home after I had 14 days off because of my injury, and then last week hitting so many golf balls and practicing hard. Hard work pays off and I just feel good at the moment,” added the 29-year-old.

The LPGA Tour’s next event is this week’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arizona.
