Singer Marsha Milan is on a high these days. After recently releasing a new album and winning multiple local awards since last year, she has hit the limelight again.
Marsha Milan, who recently won the Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) 39 in January 2025, has now also gained international recognition.
The song 'Hening Rindu' is in the limelight again. Composed by Ikhwan Fatanna Mokhtar, the song was recognised on the international stage after grabbing a gold nod at the ContentAsia Awards 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.
One of the most listened songs in the country last year, the song won the gold medal by emerging tops in the Best Sound Design Category Created in Asia for an Asian Television Programme/Series.
"This is indeed a grand achievement for the whole team," said Marsha. "It has been an unforgettable ride."
Marsha also expressed her gratitude for the song’s success in an Instagram post, describing it as the result of teamwork.
"Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this project. I'm so grateful to be the voice for a song that carries so much soul. This is truly a shared journey," she said.
The talented Ikhwan, meanwhile, said he did not expect the victory.
"Actually, I wasn't even told about this song being nominated for the ContentAsia Awards. So, when I found out, I was really surprised because it was Marsha and several staff from Alternate Records who told me this song won for Sound Design," he said.
Ikhwan said the victory would serve as motivation to continue producing quality works for artistes as well as to be liked by listeners in this country and also in other countries.
"I want my songs to be heard not only in Malaysia but also abroad," he said, having previously collaborated with Indonesian artistes Rizky Febian and Nissa Sabyan.
For the record, the popular song is the official soundtrack of the drama 'Aku Bukan Ustazah' on the Akasia TV3 slot.
TV3 also had a grand outing at the event in Taipei having also scooping the Silver Award for Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for a Single Market in Asia through the emotional documentary, “Fail Mahkamah: Zulfarhan; 19 Lawan 1.”
Both the awards fro Malaysia were received by Shahila Shah, Senior General Manager, Film, Music & In House Production, Media Prima Television Networks.
Shahila said: "'Hening Rindu' has not only touched the souls of audiences in Malaysia, but it has now managed to be recognised internationally. This success proves that local works, especially those published by Alternate Records, are able to penetrate regional competition and achieve world recognition. We are very proud because this achievement is born from the dedication and enthusiasm of local employees who always give their best."
The ContentAsia Awards is an annual event that recognises premium video content and talent achievements across various platforms in the Asian region.
This edition featured over 150 nominated programmes, highlighting the strong competition in the regional creative content industry.
