Myanmar Plaza issues statement on parking lot murder incident


YANGON: Myanmar Plaza has released a statement regarding the incident where a woman was stabbed to death in the parking lot.

The incident occurred at around 5 pm on August 5 in the basement parking lot of the plaza, and the deceased was identified as 59-year-old Daw San San Aye.

Myanmar Plaza released a statement about the incident almost a day after it was reported.

The security department immediately took action to save the patient from the incident, but the patient later died from her injuries. According to the officials, the woman was attacked by two unknown men.

The statement said that immediately after the incident, the security department immediately took action to report it to the local police station.

It said that they are deeply saddened about the unexpected incident for the victim's family members. Myanmar Plaza said it is working with the local police station to quickly apprehend the perpetrators and is providing necessary support in accordance with procedures.

Regarding the incident, Myanmar Plaza said it has immediately implemented full security measures and improved security systems in the parking lots and important areas of the shopping centre to ensure the safety of shoppers and guests. - Eleven Media/ANN
