Vietnam issues food safety control procedures for exported fresh durian

HANOI: Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on Monday (Aug 4) issued a set of food safety control procedures for the country's exported fresh durian, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The procedures outline detailed requirements for ensuring food safety throughout the entire production process, including cultivation, harvesting, transportation, storage, packaging and export.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, cultivation facilities must comply with food safety conditions under the Law on Food Safety.

Plantation areas must be inspected, monitored and assigned identification codes in line with the ministry's regulations. - Xinhua
