PDF members abduct primary school teacher in central Myanmar


YANGON: A teacher from Basic Education Post-Primary School No.17 in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, was reportedly abducted by the People's Defence Force (PDF) on June 14.

Daw Zin Mi Hlaing (28 years old), an assistant primary school teacher from the school in Ward No. (3) of Pakokku Township, was at her home when, at around 11:20 AM on June 14, five armed PDF members arrived on five motorcycles. They tied her hands behind her back and forcibly took her away.

Regarding the incident, security forces are continuing efforts to identify and arrest the PDF members involved in the abduction of the teacher, according to a statement released by the information team of the State Administration Council. - Eleven Media/ANN
