Thai princess to visit Laos next week


VIENTIANE: Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (pic) of Thailand will visit Laos from April 21-24 in response to an invitation from President Thongloun Sisoulith, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.

During her visit, Princess Sirindhorn will preside over the opening ceremony of a medical and public health academic conference to mark the 25th anniversary of a medical and health technology training project for Lao medical personnel.

The visit reflects the strong and growing friendship and cooperation between Laos and Thailand, which continues to expand across many sectors.

This year also marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Laos and Thailand, which began in 1950. - Vientiane Times/ANN
