Fugitive human trafficker arrested after four years on the run

PHNOM PENH: Police have arrested a 33-year-old fugitive who has been wanted by the Battambang Provincial Court for almost four years, in connection with illegally bringing people across the border into Thailand to work.

On March 29, Colonel VeKimchort, police chief of Kamrieng district, executed an arrest warrant for an individual named Nan Sna in O’Anlork village, of Kamrieng district’s Ta Sen commune. The case dates back to 2021, when he was reportedly involved in smuggling people across the border.
