"According to astronomical calculations based on the imkanur rukyah agreed upon by MABIMS member countries (Ministers of Religious Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore), the Syawal crescent was above Singapore’s horizon for 48 minutes after sunset this evening.

"Therefore, I am pleased to declare that the beginning of Syawal for the year 1446H falls tomorrow, Monday, March 31, 2025," he said.

He also expressed hope that Muslims would be granted blessings and success as a result of their good deeds throughout Ramadan.
