PHNOM PENH: The presence of at least ten current and future REDD+ projects places Cambodia among the leading countries in the world for REDD+ implementation. (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, plus the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests, and the enhancement of forest carbon stocks, is a framework under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.)
In the near future, Cambodia is set to receive US$40 million in funding to support its national REDD+ programme.
