SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): A woman was handed an assault charge on March 21 over her alleged role in an attack in Chinatown earlier this week.
Chinese national He Longfeng, 36, is accused of using a chopper to attack another person at the ground floor of People’s Park Complex at around 8.45pm on March 19.
In earlier statements, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that they received calls for assistance about the incident at around 8.50pm.
They found three men injured at the scene.
Two of them, aged 30 and 41, were conscious when they were taken to the Singapore General Hospital.
The third man was assessed to have minor injuries. The 42-year-old declined to be taken to hospital.
On March 21, He was ordered to be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for a medical examination.
Her case will be mentioned again in court on April 4.
An offender convicted of using a weapon to hurt another person can be jailed for up to seven years, fined, caned or receive any combination of such punishments.
