Driver of Hong Kong school bus dies after crashing into fence


A Hong Kong school bus driver has died after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a fence.

No students were on the bus as it travelled in the direction of Wu Kai Sha on Kam Ying Road at around 6.45am on Friday, police said.

The 78-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle near the police station in Ma On Shan and crashed into a fence next to the road. He became trapped and fell unconscious.

He was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin and later pronounced dead.
