The Sultan first visited Rataie Primary School, where headmistress Rohayati Abdul Kadir and teachers welcomed his arrival and gave the monarch a tour of the classrooms and school facilities. The school currently has 246 students, supported by 26 teaching staff and 12 non-teaching staff.

Apart from classrooms, the school is equipped with an information and Communication technology (ICT) lab, a science room for both lower and upper primary levels, Centre of Excellence (COE) rooms for special needs students, and separate ibadat rooms for male and female students.

The monarch then proceeded to Semabat Primary School, where only 15 students are currently enrolled. He was welcomed by headmaster Md Firdaus Md Aus and school officials. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
