Jordanian Princess Iman welcomes her first baby

CAIRO (Bernama-dpa): Jordan's Princess Iman and her husband have welcomed their first child, the royal court announced on Sunday, reported German news agency dpa.

They named the baby girl Amina, the court said in a post on the social media platform X.

Iman's parents congratulated the couple.

"Our joy for dear Amina is as big as the world. Congratulations Jameel and Iman," Queen Rania wrote in Arabic on Instagram.

"Congratulations to my dear Iman and dear Jameel on their newborn daughter, Amina," wrote Jordanian King Abdullah II, posting a picture of him carrying the baby.

Princess Iman is the daughter of King Abdullah II and his wife Rania.

Her older brother is Crown Prince Hussein. Iman is married to Venezuelan investor Jamil Thermiotis. The two got married in March, 2023. - Bernama-dpa
