Prabowo praises Cabinet for commitment in first three months

JAKARTA: President Prabowo Subianto (pic) has commended the efforts of all members of the Red and White Cabinet in fulfilling the people’s mandate, marking the three-month milestone of his administration.

During a meeting at the Presidential Palace here on Wednesday (Jan 22), he emphasised the commitment and work ethic of the ministers and deputy ministers, highlighting their focus on serving the public’s interests and meeting expectations.

"I am also grateful that in these three months, we have shown the people that our policies prioritise the interests of the people and the nation,” said Prabowo in his opening remarks, released by the Presidential Secretariat’s Press, Media, and Information Bureau (BPMI).

The president noted that while he does not set targets based on days or months, this milestone demonstrates progress and proves the government’s effectiveness in maintaining stability and peace despite global tensions and conflicts.

"Some of us come from political parties, others from civil society, academia, or non-governmental organisations, but once sworn in, our focus must be on serving the nation,” he added.

Prabowo praised the smooth and safe management of the Christmas and New Year 2024 holidays, thanking ministers, the military, police, and officials for their efforts in ensuring stability and security.

He stressed the importance of government continuity for successful national development, praising previous administrations for laying a strong foundation and noting that development is a long-term effort spanning decades.

Citing the recent inauguration of the Jatigede Hydroelectric Power Plant in West Java, he highlighted its origins in President Sukarno's 1963 initiative and its groundbreaking in 2015. - Bernama
