PM Hun Manet says Cambodia-China ties a 2,000-year legacy of friendship and cooperation


PHNOM PENH (Khmer Times): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet outlined the long-standing friendship between Cambodia and China, which dates back more than 2,000 years. This enduring traditional friendship has become a valuable legacy for both nations and peoples.

The premier spoke on Saturday morning (Oct 26) during a ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the China-Aid Project of Improving School Environment and Educational Facilities in Cambodia (CPISEEF), held at Samdech Hun Sen Peam Chi Kang High School in Kang Meas District, Kampong Cham Province.

“Cambodia and China have shared ties for over 2,000 years, and this long-standing traditional friendship has become a valuable legacy for both nations and peoples. As the Chinese Ambassador mentioned, Cambodia and China are friends, neighbours, and strong partners.

This year marks the 66th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries. Cambodia-China relations are not only a comprehensive strategic partnership but also an inseparable, iron-clad friendship,” the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet also thanked the Chinese government and people for their continued attention to human resource development in the kingdom. - Khmer Times
