Phase one construction of Indonesia's new capital city Nusantara nears completion


JAKARTA (Xinhua): The construction of Indonesia's new capital city (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan province has reached 93 percent completion for its first phase, according to Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, head of the IKN Nusantara Infrastructure Development Task Force on Sunday.

Phase one includes government buildings, ministerial residences, and housing for civil servants. Sumadilaga emphasized that 20 ministerial houses have been completed so far, with 14 more under construction. The task force aims to finish 28 houses by October this year.
