Seminyak Indonesian Soulfood continues to strengthen its position in Malaysia’s food and beverage industry with the official opening of its second outlet at KLGCC Mall, marking another significant milestone in the brand’s effort to expand its offering of authentic Indonesian cuisine to the local market.

Following the launch of its first outlet at Sunway Pyramid in June 2025, Seminyak is now taking another step forward by selecting the premium location of KLGCC Mall to cater to the middle- and upper-income segment seeking a comfortable, modern and quality dining experience.

For its KLGCC Mall outlet, Seminyak is led by Lina Rahim, Leta Juangku, Tania Arlene and top local actress Datin Nelydia, who share a common vision of introducing Indonesian soul food through a fresh, contemporary and approachable concept.

Driven by a shared passion for the F&B industry, their journey started with the launch of Warung Eropa TRX in November 2023. Their success was later followed by the expansion of the brand through Warung Jakarta in 2024 (KL City Walk and Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya) and Seminyak in Sunway in 2025, before introducing Seminyak KLGCC Mall in 2026.

Seminyak Indonesian Soulfood is a sister brand of Warung Eropa, inspired by the iconic atmosphere of Seminyak, Bali. The restaurant’s concept highlights a blend of traditional Indonesian flavours with a modern touch, while its interior design reflects Bali’s tropical charm through the use of natural elements, warm tones and a relaxed ambience that offers comfort to every guest.

"What sets Seminyak apart is its use of authentic ingredients and recipes from various regions across Indonesia, along with freshly handmade noodles prepared daily. The restaurant also introduces the Indonesian Rice Bowl Nasi Jinggo concept, where each dish is served with steamed rice and flavourful, aromatic accompaniments that reflect the true essence of Indonesian soul food," said Leta, after the launch of the concept food store at KLGCC on April 9.

Among Seminyak’s signature offerings is the Indonesian Rice Bowl Nasi Jinggo, which has become one of the restaurant’s defining menu highlights, as Seminyak is currently among the early brands in Malaysia to feature authentic Nasi Jinggo. Guests can choose from a variety of options such as Nasi Jinggo Ayam Bakar, Nasi Jinggo Empal Beef Seminyak, Nasi Jinggo Ayam Betutu and Nasi Jinggo Bebek Kremes.

"We are extremely honoured to be given a chance to serve Malaysians a taste of the best from Indonesia. In all, our group now has five outlets in Klang Valley," said Lina Rahim.

"Following this success, we are looking at Penang and Johor now, where we hope to inroduce out top dishes to locals, foreign tourists and also Singaporeans who make frequent visits to Johor Bahru."

In the long term, the enterprising businesswomen hope to push their authentic taste to the Nusantara community in Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei. At the same time, the brand is exploring opportunities to expand into Asean markets through strategic collaborations with potential business partners via joint venture (JV) initiatives.

"When we do move into Jakarta, where the upper and middle class are growing strongly, we aim to introduce Malaysian specialities to the locals in the city," added Lina Rahim.

As for Seminyak, the three owners have assured all that every dish served in the restaurant is prepared using fresh ingredients, with all ingredients sourced from halal-certified suppliers.

This reflects the brand’s commitment to quality, consistency and customer confidence. In addition to its rice and noodle selections, the restaurant offers reasonably priced menu items ranging from RM16 to RM70, with average customer spending estimated at RM40 to RM70 per person.

The selection of KLGCC Mall as the brand’s second outlet location was based on its strategic advantages, including access to a premium customer base, exclusive golf course views, lifestyle conveniences and a family-friendly environment. The location aligns with the brand’s aspiration to position Seminyak as a preferred destination for those who appreciate authentic cuisine in a modern and premium setting.

The official Grand Opening of Seminyak Indonesian Soulfood at KLGCC Mall was held on April 9, featuring guest arrivals, welcoming remarks, a doa recitation, a tumpeng-cutting ceremony, and a media session.

According to the management, Seminyak is not merely focused on introducing Indonesian food to the local market, but also on creating a dining experience that feels warm, soulful and suitable for various occasions, whether with family, friends or business associates.

“We aim to bring the diversity of Indonesian cuisine from east to west to life through authentic flavours, rich spices and dishes that truly nourish the soul. At the same time, we want our guests to enjoy a warm, comfortable and satisfying dining experience, much like enjoying a heartfelt home-cooked meal,” said Leta.

And for those now hoping to taste the best of authentic Indonesian soul food, this outlet is always ready to welcome you with open and friendly arms, together with the best of Nusantara offerings.
