Lao parliament adopts laws for socio-economic development

VIENTIANE (Xinhua): The National Assembly (NA) of Laos has approved 11 amended and two new laws to bolster the country's socio-economic development.

The consideration and adoption of these 13 laws is an important achievement in implementing the plan to create and improve laws during 2023-2025, Lao National Radio reported on Tuesday.

These laws are necessary to promote the implementation of government policies as they will become fundamental tools for fulfilling the tasks of each sector in line with the current situation and the national socio-economic development plan.

The laws are also an important contribution to improving and increasing mechanisms for state management, economic and social management of the country, and building a more comprehensive system to protect the rights and benefits of the state, individuals, legal entities, and all ethnic groups of Laos. - Xinhua
