Indian Railways conducts successful trial run of train over world’s highest bridge in Jammu and Kashmir

NEW DELHI: The Indian Railways on Thursday (June 20) successfully conducted a trial run of a train between Sangaldan and Reasi, marking a significant milestone in connecting Kashmir to the rest of the country via the world’s highest bridge over the Chenab River.

“Successful trial run of MEMU train between Sangaldan-Reasi section of USBRL project,” Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said in a post on X on Thursday.
