Brunei King leaves for Timor-Leste state visit on Monday

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The King of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, on Monday left for Dili for a State Visit to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

Prior to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, Doa Selamat was recited by the State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.

Present at His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell to His Majesty were members of the Royal Family.

Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-pengiran Cheteria; the Speaker of the Legislative Council; Cabinet Ministers; Members of the Privy Council; Deputy Ministers; the Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

On Sunday, The Sultan had send a message of congratulations to President of Timor-Leste Dr Jose Ramos-Horta, as well as the government and the people of Timor-Leste on the occasion of the anniversary of the restoration of Timor-Leste’s independence. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
