Vietnam's export rice prices return to world's top position


HANOI (Bernama-Xinhua): Prices of the Vietnamese rice in the global market rose by US$3 to US$8 per ton last week, helping the South-East Asian country return to the top position in terms of export rice prices,Vietnam News Agency report ed Monday, citing the Vietnam Food Association.

The price for Vietnam's 5 per cent broken rice, at US$585 per ton, is higher than the same type of Thailand by US$3 per ton, and US$10 per ton higher than the same product of Pakistan, said the association.
