Moderate earthquakes rock Mindanao


TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte: Two moderate earthquakes rocked Mindanao minutes apart on Thursday (Feb 29) morning, state seismologists said.

The stronger magnitude 5.6 tectonic quake hit at around 8:23am, with its epicentre estimated at 77km east of Cagwait town, Surigao del Sur, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
