BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Several areas of the Bangkok metropolitan area, which covers Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan provinces, were inundated on Thursday (Sept 21) evening after the city was hit by several hours of heavy rain that started about 5pm and did not let up until the small hours.
According to city officials, the highest rainfall was recorded at 8.30pm in Bangna district at 144.5mm.
