Brunei food centre loses its Halal certification over usage of pig bristle brushes


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The Halal Certification of a business establishment in the capital of Brunei was confiscated after it was found using three unbranded brushes made from pig bristles.

Enforcement officers of the Halal Food Control Division at the Syariah Affairs Department conducted an operation at the business establishment in Kampong Lambak, Jalan Berakas this week following information about the use of the brushes made from pig bristles.
